Sandoz EDGE Webinars for APEG
Sandoz and APEG are pleased to present a webinar series developed by the Endocrinology Debate Global Exchange (EDGE).
This pre-recorded webinar series was the result of the culmination of the foremost experts on pediatric endocrinology from across Europe and the USA to discuss topics relevant to the Latin American endocrine community, which has now been extended to Australia and New Zealand.
The webinar series consists of four hours of pre-recorded webinars. Each webinar will be released monthly from July to October 2020.

Phyllis W. Speiser, MD is Chief of Endocrinology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center of NY, Professor of Pediatrics at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and Associate Investigator at The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. She has chaired The Endocrine Society’s Task Force on guidelines for congenital adrenal hyperplasia, and authored >100 publications. Dr. Speiser is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, and member of The Society for Pediatric Research. She received her MD from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, completed residency at The Bronx Municipal Hospital Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Growth Hormone Insensitivity: diagnosis and management
Presented by Professor Ron Rosenfeld (USA)
Emeritus Professor of Paediatrics – Stanford University
Chairman of Paediatrics – Oregan Health and Science University
Dr. Rosenfeld is an internationally renowned authority on the endocrine basis of growth and development and has been at the forefront of understanding the biology of growth hormone and growth factors for over 30 years. His work has elucidated physiological, pathological, cellular and molecular aspects of mammalian growth, as well as the role of growth factors and their receptors in the fetus, newborn, child and adult in health and disease.
The author of over 640 publications, 8 edited books and 2 plays, Dr. Rosenfeld has received numerous awards, including a Mellon Foundation Fellowship, Basil O’Connor Award from the March of Dimes, an NIH Career Development Award, and 30 years of continuous NIH grant support. He is the recipient of the Kaiser Award for Excellence in Teaching at Stanford, the Joseph St. Geme, Jr. Award from the Society for Pediatric Research for pediatric education, the Ross Award for Research from the Society for Pediatric Research, The Clinical Endocrinology Trust Medal from the Royal Society of Medicine, the Maureen Andrew Mentor Award from the Society for Pediatric Research, the 2008 Transatlantic Medal as the outstanding North American endocrinologist from the Society for Endocrinology, the 2008 Robert H. Williams Distinguished Leadership Award from the Endocrine Society, the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from Stanford University, the European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology International Award (2013), the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Human Growth Foundation (2014) and the Judson J. Van Wyk Award from the Pediatric Endocrine Society (2014).

Management of Children with Prader-Willi Syndrome
The final webinar in the Sandoz EDGE Supported four part series is presented by Professor Maithe Tauber. Professor Tauber will discuss ‘The Management of Children with Prader-Willi Syndrome’. Professor Tauber is Coordinator of the French reference centre for Prader-Willi syndrome, Member of “Endo-ERN” and Chair of the children’s hospital in Toulouse, France. Professor Tauber is principal investigator and co-investigator in studies on childhood obesity, Prader-Willi Syndrome and many studies on growth hormones.
She is the 2018 winner of the Benjamin DELESSERE Prize and has worked for over 20 years with children suffering from Prader-Willi Syndrome at the Toulouse University Hospital. As a speaker she can intervene in this pathology and is recognized as an expert around the world.
